Last week's hits were the highest weekly total we've had in over six months -- and maybe ever -- other than a release week: over 61K. And if we can pull off a few more great posts by Monday, we'll beat non-release *months* too!
I think this shows that more articles are good, especially those that involve high frequency search hits from users. Atom and Raspberry Pi especially stood out with high numbers of views.
I would encourage all writers, rather than writing about random topics you think might be interesting, first look at writing toward some of the ideas we are setting up as starter pitches from last meeting: https://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/teams/magazine/magazine.2016-10-20-21.00.h...
Just my $0.02. :-)
Great news -- October 2016 is now our best ever non-release month of posts, with > 201K hits and still a few days to go in the month! Let's keep up the great work!
I've entered all the starter pitches from last week, so there are plenty of easy ideas for people to use in the Starter Pitches category now.

This is all super awesome to hear and see! Thanks for sharing this highlight on the list, Paul. Also, double-thanks for converting all of the starter pitch ideas from last week into the Magazine! This was a huge help, and we had some topics we wanted to open up to other writers on the list as well.
Also, big thanks to all of our writers this month too who helped us reach these numbers! :)

Final update. And it's *really* good news.
Remember how the week of October 17th was the best week of pageviews we'd had, other than a release week, for many months (at over 61K)? Well, last week, the week of October 24th, beat that week, over 65K. It's now the best non-release week of pageviews on the Magazine as far as I can see.
The month of October, now that it's officially over, is easily the best non-release month ever for the Magazine. In fact, it looks more like a release month. Our best month ever, November 2015, had over 273K views, and the next release, June 2016, had over 259K views. October 2016 had over 231K views for third-best month *ever*. The next best month was only about 199K views!
I think this shows that more content is *GOOD*. Also, it makes it *VERY IMPORTANT* that guest writers pick up on the starter pitches we have available now. Let's keep this train rolling in November, so we can also build on the release of Fedora 25!
Great news! But here's a suggestion: how-to's are also very view "profitable". particularly those more aimed at newbs. simple how-to's might, once a month, might help increase even more those views. Regards, pedro.
Pedro, the starter pitch ideas to which I was referring are actually how-to's. So yes. :-)
