I try to avoid highly specialized output like a diff unless really
called for, but one way to do it would be narratively. This also makes
for an easier to read article:
<p>Change the following line</p>
<pre>foo bar=0</pre>
<p>To read like this, substituting your username where needed:</p>
<pre>foo bar=username</pre>
