Hi William,
This was the exact problem I ran into, but it no longer seems to be a
problem now. I tried on both F26 and F27 and now Openbox shows up for
me on the GDM screen, *after* I kill GDM (or reboot). So you may want
to advise about that, and then go ahead.
Don't advise switching from GDM to LightDM, doesn't appear necessary.
