[magazine] Magazine issues handling
by Eduard Lucena
Hi Marketing and Magazine teams,
Since we decided to split Magazine from Marketing, having Magazine ML and
IRC Channel separate from Marketing (Marketing meeting for August 30, 2016)
we were working really fine. But now we hit a stone, Magazine have no
Pagure or trac to follow tickets/issues.
For now, we are working with Marketing Pagure, and we have 3 issues related
to the Magazine:
208, 233, and 239.
The idea with this mail is to discuss with both teams if we should split
magazine's issues from Marketing Pagure, being Magazine still a subproject
of Marketing.

Hi Anupama, thanks for answering the writing call! Sorry for the delay
in getting back to you on your pitch. Yes, this is fantastic! +1 on
moving forward with a draft. I have moved your article from the pitch
category over to a draft. :)
Feel free to start writing it, and let us know once you have a final
draft or if you have any problems. Thanks again for helping out with
this one!

[magazine] Technical review needed: "What is the GRUB2 boot loader?"
by Justin W. Flory
Hello all,
Behind schedule, but I have reviewed and edited "What is the GRUB2 boot
loader?" Even though it is an introductory article, it goes into
technical areas beyond my expertise (and I also made some additions of
my own towards the end about how to customize and theme the GRUB2 menu).
If someone would be able to review and provide feedback on this article,
it would be greatly appreciated! I think Ryan was also working on a
featured image for this one as well.

Thanks all!

[magazine] GSoC featuring Fedora related activities
by Natalie Ardasevova
Hez guys,
what do you think about an article about Fedora activities in Google Summer of Code? That would sure give it a good ring?
Maybe talk to the mentors and students, ask them for their experience, what it gave them, etc?
I think there could be one version for the Magazine and another for the blog, the blog one being more technical and tagged with relevant groups.
What do you think? I would volunteer for writing this, with glad acceptance of anyone's help :)
Best,

[magazine] pitch: new kernel features for rawhide
by Laura Abbott
Hi,
The 4.8 kernel was released on Sunday and we are now in the merge window
for the 4.9 kernel. I'd like to do a short article on some of the options
and features that are coming in for 4.9 in rawhide. The merge window for the
kernel is two weeks so I would have a final draft after October 16th,
assuming the usual schedule holds.
Thanks,
Laura

Hi Ashutosh!
The Fedora Magazine has moved to its own mailing list,
magazine(a)lists.fedoraproject.org, so I am replying there (and have the
marketing list CC'd).
I'm not entirely familiar with this technology, but that doesn't mean it
wouldn't be a good topic to write about. For me, questions I might ask
would be:
1) What is it?
2) How am I able to install and configure it?
3) How can I use it?
4) How does it help make my job easier?
These are some starter questions you could consider answering, but
there's probably ways to go deeper specific to namespaces in regards to
where it's used.

We briefly discussed this in IRC, and everything looks good to me. We do
still need a featured image, if someone would like to do one that fits
the F25 general theming. Content should be all set (slight adaptations
from the wiki version).
