Bug ID: 2365408
Summary: lua-readline: fails to install from epel10
Product: Fedora EPEL
Version: epel10
Status: NEW
Component: lua-readline
Assignee: michel(a)michel-slm.name
Reporter: carl(a)redhat.com
QA Contact: extras-qa(a)fedoraproject.org
CC: lua-packagers-sig(a)lists.fedoraproject.org,

Depends On: 2365405
Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
Description of problem:
lua-readline from EPEL 10.1/10.0 has one or more unresolved dependencies,
causing it to be uninstallable in both CentOS Stream 10 and RHEL 10.0 nightly.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
lua-readline-3.3-7.el10_0
How reproducible:
always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. dnf install lua-readline
Actual results:
Error:
Problem: conflicting requests
- nothing provides lua-posix needed by lua-readline-3.3-7.el10_0.x86_64 from
epel
Expected results:
successful installation
Additional info:
If you think resolving this will take a long time, and would prefer to remove
this uninstallable package from EPEL 10 in the meantime, just say so in this
ticket and I can untag the build for you. This won't retire the branch, so as
soon as the underlying problem is resolved you can re-publish by creating a new
update.

Target Milestone: ---
Classification: Fedora
Description of problem:
Please add lua-posix to EPEL 10 (10.0 and 10.1). It was previously in the
AppStream repo, but has been removed so it is now eligible for EPEL. Two other
packages in EPEL depend on it (Lmod and lua-readline), and its absence is
causing those packages to be uninstallable.
