We need some "heavy hitters" in Java build systems, packaging... most anything listed

How do I/we get these people?
 (A: I'm going to email alumni, but thats no the only solution)

Pick off people individually?

Certain mailing lists I should go for?

I'm partially concerned because of:

== Cost Concerns ==
For the FAD, I'm planning on an outing to Masala Art. I've budgeted it in, but at $14/person its a bit hefty. For attendees who have real Java/Scala/build system/packaging chops, getting them a delicous brunch at Masala Art is the least we can do for them. Buuut, for the random Oliner who stops by and listens to a talk, I don't think paying for Masala Art Brunch is a good use of Fedora/Red Hat funds.

Thoughts?

So, I would like to get knowledgeable "heavy hitters" as "registered attendees." I'm actually a little concerned sending out registration invites to Oliners ATM because I don't want people to come just for the $14 brunch.

Actually I'm concerned for the same reason with Fedora mailing lists. Buuut I don't expect area locals to bother driving to Needham just for $14 brunch, so probably less of a concern.

Again, thoughts?
Is this honest?
Should I remove brunch from the wiki?
Should I mark brunch as a "for serious devs only"? (this certainly seems unfair).

Eff, just found out that all my previous messages to logistics bounced (no-member) and they've been filtering away.
