I have had to abandon using FC4 for my project as there seem to be stability issues with one of the 3rd part components that I need to use.
I thought Id have a go at using kadischi to build an FC3 LiveCD and was surprised to find that my first attempt was reasonably successful. Unfortunately subsequent attempts are failing miserable and I can not work out what I have done that has broken things.
When mkzftree tries to compress the tree it fails with a non zero return code e.g. mkzftree: /usr/local/vmware/flcd/livecd-build_no179/system/proc/vmnet/hub0.1: Success *** Fatal error: mkzftree returned non zero (18944) exit code. Aborting execution.
By modifying the kadischi source I have stopped it deleting things and find that in the build area, system/proc is somehow 'linked' to the real /proc on my workstation, I can not find how/where this is done or whether it is supposed to be.
All my efforts to diagnose what is happening have made matters worse.

Weird, I had removed the exim rpm in my postinstall script. Not sure why that mucked things up but the build is now working and I have turned off the exim service instead.

Hmmm... This could explain why DNS servers are being wiped on the machine during build.
