Can you run another check on how many packages are out of licensing
compliance (with regards to tagging in specs)?
No problem, I've been running this about once a day just for my own
enjoyment. The executive summary is:
67.45% of spec files (3148 out of 4667) have invalid licenses (as of
Mon, 20 Aug 2007 22:52:12 +0000)
Attached is a verbose listing of packages with invalid licenses. Also
attached is the python script I used to generate this list, in case
anyone else wants to improve it or point out obvious bugs and
deficiencies. (I borrowed the regex from rpmlint, as well as its list
of valid licenses.)
We might want to start generating stats broken down by maintainer (I
know I still have some errors in my own packages, for example).
I'll look into that. Last I read, the package db didn't have a plain
text output of the current owners. If anyone knows the best way to
get the current maintainer data in some convenient format, please let
me know.
