At the moment, mpeg123 is the approved decoder for Fedora. The tweet
from Spot was genuine. The blog post from Christian likewise.
And there are no shady backroom deals involved that might grant rights
to Fedora that do not necessarily apply to Fedora's downstreams?
I certainly wouldn't have felt the need to ask something like this a few
years ago, but nowadays I guess everything is possible.
