Hello,
The option you gave me worked very well, my next problem is with
the installer, when I run the installdisk check it says the dvd is good, I run
the installer, selecting partitions, software etc, and then the installer start
installing. After the formatting stuff the installer come with the can’t find
package error. The only options are retry and reboot. How can this happen while
my install-disc is correct. Please help
Gr Arno

When you get the first menu to
install/upgrade fedora, press TAB and append these lines to the existing line
floppy.allowed_mask=0 clocksource=acpi_pm
Also if you have many extra non-standard software installed on your last Fedora
7, that yum will not find on its standard repositories, then also it will hang
on resolving dependencies at later stage. Therefore before upgrading, remove
all extras.
I have faced all these issues myself.
Thanks.
Zee.
