Sound card does not work in FC6
by Julia Garibaldi

cracking sound, but nothing else. "External amplifier" switch in volume
control has been unchecked.

Thanks for replying. I see MAKEDEV in the sbin directory, and can do a MAN if I'm in the doc directory, but it tells me it can't find such a command when I type it (even when I'm in sbin.
What do I need to do?

My sound card (Maestro3) isn't working.
lspci lists the card, but when I use the auto detect tool, it doesn't
find it.

Hello!

I have tried to comment the line from the spec file:
%suse_kernel_module_package um
and making
rpmbuild -ba /home/user/REDHAT/SPECS/et131x.spec
the answer is
Package already exists: %package debuginfo
Can help me someone to fix spec file and/or to solve the last problem
with the package?
Thanks

C600 Dell Laptop with FC6 (New Install)
by Anthony Pilozzi
My sound card (Maestro3) isn't working.
lspci lists the card, but when I use the auto detect tool, it doesn't
find it.
It was working fine with FC5, so I'm a bit puzzled.
I searched the web and didn't find anything useful.
I saw one reference on the web to buying another sound card (not
productive) and another about modifying modprobe.conf although they
didn't say how.
Any clue would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.
PS. I'm new at this (LINUX), so more is better.

After resume from suspend, neither keyboard nor touchpad work
by Gérard Milmeister
On the HP NC8430, suspend to RAM seems to work, but after resuming, both
touchpad and keyboard are unresponsive. It is however to remote login,
so the computer hasn't crashed. Also, an USB mouse still works.
I also use a suspend2 kernel from atrpms. It is a pity that suspend2 is
not part of the Fedora kernel, since it works much better that the
standard swsup (which doesn't work at all on my laptop).
I made a page on the Fedora Wiki about the NC8430:
