[OS-BUILD PATCH] [redhat] New configs in drivers/video
by GitLab Bridge on behalf of jeremycline
From: Jeremy Cline <jcline(a)redhat.com>
Hi,
As part of the ongoing rebase effort, the following configuration
options need to be reviewed.
As a reminder, the ARK configuration flow involves moving unreviewed
configuration options from the pending directory to the ark directory.
In the diff below, options are removed from the pending directory and
added to the ark hierarchy. The final options that need to be ACKed
are the files that are being added to the ark hierarchy.
If the value for a file that is added should be changed, please reply
with a better option.
CONFIG_BACKLIGHT_LED:
If you have a LCD backlight adjustable by LED class driver, say Y
to enable this driver.
Symbol: BACKLIGHT_LED [=n]
Type : tristate
Defined at drivers/video/backlight/Kconfig:459
Prompt: Generic LED based Backlight Driver
Depends on: HAS_IOMEM [=y] && BACKLIGHT_CLASS_DEVICE [=y] && LEDS_CLASS [=y] && OF [=y]
Location:
-> Device Drivers
-> Graphics support
-> Backlight & LCD device support
-> Lowlevel Backlight controls (BACKLIGHT_CLASS_DEVICE [=y])
Lyude isn't aware of anything that uses this currently, but noted that
that it's likely it will be needed for newer laptops and so recommended
"m".

[OS-BUILD PATCH 0/16] redhat: rework IMA/EVM config opts
by GitLab Bridge on behalf of bmeneg
From: bmeneg on gitlab.com
IMA/EVM has been quite forgotten in the past few releases.
This patchset sync all options (where possible) on ARK supported arches,
following closely what is enabled in RHEL today and also enable/sync
some of
the Fedora options to better match what is being enabled in ARK.
Bruno Meneguele (16):
redhat: enable CONFIG_INTEGRITY for aarch64
redhat: enable CONFIG_IMA_APPRAISE
redhat: enable CONFIG_IMA_APPRAISE_BOOTPARAM
redhat: enable CONFIG_IMA_APPRAISE_MODSIG
redhat: enable CONFIG_IMA_ARCH_POLICY for ppc and x86
redhat: disable CONFIG_IMA_DEFAULT_HASH_SHA1
redhat: enable CONFIG_IMA_DEFAULT_HASH_SHA256 for all flavors
redhat: set default IMA template for all ARK arches
redhat: enable CONFIG_IMA_READ_POLICY on ARK
redhat: enable CONFIG_IMA_SECURE_AND_OR_TRUSTED_BOOT
redhat: set CONFIG_IMA_DEFAULT_HASH to SHA256
redhat: enable CONFIG_IMA_LOAD_X509 on ARK
redhat: enable CONFIG_EVM in all arches and flavors

We aim to provide a report within reasonable timeframe. Tests that haven't

Move xpad in kernel-modules ?
by Bastien Nocera
Hey,
Is there a particular reason why xpad isn't in the main kernel modules?
It's the driver for Microsoft's joypads, including the fairly common
XBox 360 and XBox One models. We already support PlayStation pads out
of the box, xpad should really be installed by default, in the main
kernel modules package.
Is there anything that I'm missing? The only dependency is on ff-memless
which is in the core package.
Cheers

[OS-BUILD PATCH] Ship xpad with default modules on Fedora and RHEL
by GitLab Bridge on behalf of hadess1
From: Bastien Nocera <hadess(a)hadess.net>
XBox 360 and XBox One controllers are very common as PC joypads.
iOS, macOS, Android and Windows all support those joypads out of the
box, so Fedora should too.
