So I have to use LXQt Desktop env because the freezing returned with the latest update of Fedora 22:
See the txt file for the packages which were updated. Looks like the bug was reintroduced.
This time manually setting the xorg.conf doesn't fix the problem. I even turned off all compositing as just xrender and it still locks up my xorg session. I have no choice than ctrl-alt-backspace ... at least that still works!

Freezing or crashing?
The bug you commented on, https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1259443
is about crashes (not freezes).

If you're seeing freezes, you can test a xorg-x11-server patch available from copr, https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/rdieter/libxcb/
and see if that helps any.
You didn't mention the circumstances for your freezes, but that copr workaround addresses one possible issue when plasma5 receives notifications when your screen is turned off.

No, it is just like it was before. (regression) as soon as I login and start a program (e.g.: firefox) or open the K-Menu the entire desktop will freeze and only the cursor will move.

I see this exact situation. I found that the crash reporter seems to take over the screen. If I go into a tty session and kill it, the desktop works.
Been to busy to do more about it and try tracing the problem.

The fix (from the copr) is in -testing now,

Plasma on my system freezes right before the desktop is displayed.
I updated to F23 in the hope that my freezing would be resolved there. It hasn't been. I'm running xorg-x11-server-Xorg.x86_64 1.18.0-0.4.20150907.fc23
Do you recommend that I downgrade to xorg-x11-server-1.17.2-2.fc22.2 to fix my problem ?

"killall -9 drkonqi" allows me to run a KDE session.

And honestly, I am kinda done for now. Need to get work done, staying with LxQT until the next release. I love KDE been using it since 1998, but I cannot use it for my work machine, because I need to get work done. I will test/experiment/play with KDE on my home machine.
