I had similar problem at work with Lightning and I had to install a different
version of Lighting add-on.
I am not using google calendar at work so could be different.
FWIW, I had a bit of a problem with the latest version of T-Bird.
[egreshko@meimei ~]$ rpm -qa | grep thunderb
thunderbird-enigmail-2.0.8-1.fc28.noarch
thunderbird-60.0-1.fc28.x86_64
Some of my favorite add-ons are incompatible and I did have trouble with the
calendar. I was having a "bad day" and ended up deleting my google calendars,
installing Provider for Google Calendar 4.4.1 and adding them back in. They all work
now.
