Yes, I really appreciate your work on KDE 4, and most of the bugs I find
in my day to day usage are either small glitches or upstream bugs.
However, for reference (and for keeping track of the status), I created
a b.k.o report:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=206089
Afterall Fedora, though the most innovating, is not the only one using
Plymouth + KDM (think of the upcoming Mandriva 2010.0). Moreover once
it's done it's done: KMS and Plymouth are growing in popularity (except
for the Xsplash mess) and KDE/KDM are here to stay.
I looked (really quickly) to this issue some time ago but unfortunately I
didn't have time so I postponed it. I tried it with GDM but it looked exactly
the same as KDM, probably something was wrong (but KMS was working).
Mandriva is using Plymouth, Kubuntu is not going to use Plymouth.
Maybe in some spare time I'll take a look as I'm trying to support most of
Fedora stuff in KDE. And there's still lot of work on functionality, so looks
is on second way. (But still it will gain some look improvements as Qt GUI is
better, isn't it?).
