Seems that in KDE the option "print in grayscale" does not
work: I'm using
Okular and when I choose file -> print and set in options "color mode"
->
grayscale it prints in color. The only way I can print in grayscale is to open
printer properties and set "print color as gray" in the advanced parameters.
Another user has the same problem with Gwenview:
https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=213&t=138834
And I verified it's the same problem, but in Gwenview there are no options in
printer settings to print color as gray.
Now my question is: since it's a KDE wide problem, not just a single
application, what's the best component where I should open a ticket?
For that version it's pointless, as it is kdelibs4-based (which in turn means
Qt4 support for printing): please wait for the Frameworks version of Okular
(part of KDE Applications 16.12 or later, from F26 onwards.
For now you need to change the printer settings unfortunately.
