of things. A lot of users are displeased with kdepim 4.4.3 even, so any
improvement we can get is well worth it, imo.

have parallel installations of KMail. We can expect to hear more
as release time gets nearer. A number of possibilities are being
considered and evaluated.
Yup, and I"m playing with a few too... I'll keep in touch with the PIM
folks as we get closer to release. FWIW, I'm using akregator, korg, kabc
and blogilo from current trunk, and kmail1 with no issues.. Obviously
Kontact doesn't work with all of them together.
