All;
I am running Fedora 41 - KDE spin
when I first boot everything works fine, and the screens go blank after some time, however after logging in more than once or twice the screens no longer turn off after inactivity, and then if I go to system settings --> Power Management I see a message saying: * *
*Power Management settings could not be loaded The Power Management Service appears not to be running*
Thanks in advance for any advice

Does systemctl --failed show any power management service that has failed? If so what does systemctl status report for that service?
Barry
Thanks in advance for any advice
