There sems to be some kinda problem generally speaking with xorg 1.6.1. I ran into issues
with wine. I'm using NVidia, so the problem is not confined to ATI chipsets. and
reported the problem and after much qa at:

If I were you, I would report the problem against kde so that more than one source and
more than one issue gets pushed at the xorg people from more than one direction.
Just to clarify...I meant the kde people over at
bugzilla.redhat.com
This is the kind of thing that is bound to get a surly response over at kde. Something
like go bother ATI. It might very well be an ATI bug, but the Fedora's KDE people, I
know will do everything in their power to help pin point the problem.
You gotta love the Fedora KDE team. They're great. :)
