...which is exactly what I said, so we're back to square one. Does
anyone know how to disable the rest of the tooltips?
Go to
System Settings > Workspace > Desktop Behavior > Workspace
and deselect
"Show Informational Tips"
This disables tooltips for the Menu, the desktop pager, the System Tray,
and the clock. (I'm on Fedora 22)
I agree that it would be better to have all desktop tooltip settings
in one place.
