I found out how to disable core compression and generated a new core,
except
I got 5 KDE cores[1] rather than one. I tried on the one with plasmashell in
the name, and gdb complains "No symbol table info available over and over and
waits on me to tell it what next. :-(
[1] drkonqi, kactivitymanager, kactivitymanager, klauncher,
plasmashell
I attached gdb to the running plasmashell, and gdb complains I need to use up
80% of the size of the whole / filesystem, which currently has 30% free,
installing 205 packages. There's barely enough freespace to download the 1.2G
of packages, and clearly too little room to install them.
