There's definitely some buggy behavior.
I would disable Clipboard widget from system tray settings (General>Extra
Items>Clipboard uncheck). And I would install CopyQ from the repos. In its
Preference>General>Clipboard Manipulation you can set the way you want it.
you can set it in kilpper and the widget too, it's just horrible broken
and i wonder how that can happen after working for many years
Klipper/Clipboard-widget is a huge no for Chrome users so CopyQ comes

handy
