I think this was only suggested as a way of confirming that the bug is
indeed with nvidia's libGL (ie, if the crashes go away with LD_PRELOAD...)
(though I'm not convinced entirely if this workaround will help...)
At least here (KDE 4.7, Fedora 16 i386) this is the only way to run Chrome,
systemsettings and other apps. I know this is far from perfect, though.
Hope the nVidia driver update solves the issue.
