I'm proposing we consider using firefox by default instead.
with all the problems that mozilla is going thru with firefox, why
do you want to cause problems?
firefox is no longer #2 browser. gaagle chrome has kicked firefox's
butt an dropped it to #3.
firefox dev's have run their butts into the outhouse trying to keep up
with g-chrome to a point where they are locking new versions of firefox
to only accept mozilla add-ons, which means if one is using 3rd party
add-ons, ie, not released thru mozilla site, and try to upgrade, the 3rd
party add-ons will no longer work.
many oos users are dropping firefox in favor of the new oos browser.
anyone who is unaware can run a web search on "web browser war" to find
out just what is happening.
because of all the crap changes moz dev's are making, i am still running
firefox 24.8.0. when it becomes no longer safe to use, i will change to
konqueror until i find what i want in a web browser.
i have currently pulled and testing:
pale moon #1 maxthon #2
http://www.palemoon.org/ http://www.maxthon.com/
opera #3a vivaldi #3b
http://www.opera.com/ https://vivaldi.com/
qupzilla #4
http://www.qupzilla.com/
#3a and #3b because vivaldi is from opera dev's.
before anyone gives thought to adding a "outside 3rd party" browser
to the fedora packaging, they need to do a lot more research because
"the hounds are over taking the fox".
