When I have issues such as the one you describe were things work on other machines but
not on one. I create a new user on the "failing" machine to see if it is
something odd in some user specific setting. I didn't see you mention trying
this......

Hi Ed,
I can't believe I didn't think to try that, but the same thing happens
with a new test user as well. It's not a big deal, but I'm more
curious now, than anything.
