Maybe the problem is that at somepoint I did initialize the keyring, but I
don't remember the password. Is there some way to reset that?

it should "just work" if gnome-keyring package is installed
rpm -q gnome-keyring
if it's missing install it. I guess abrt-gui probably ought to have a
dependency added, if it doesn't work without it.
