I wouldn't recommend that. You won't get a KDE setup which had the amount of
tuning the KDE spin had (especially concerning the selection of packages) if
you start from the DVD or from the GNOME ("Desktop") Live CD.
What exactly does "tuning" mean in this context? Since you can add any
packages you like, I assume you must mean something else.
