This is probably http://bugs.kde.org/183273 which is fixed in
kdebase-workspace-4.2.1-12, but that hasn't been pushed as an update. It
will get fixed with the KDE 4.2.2 update coming soon.

BTW, This bug states, "Closing lid while shutdown in progress, invokes suspend to disk".

But my problem is pretty different. I am closing the lid when KDE4.2 is running. And When I open it after 30 minutes, display is getting frozen(Mouse and keyboard is responding). I haven't given "Suspend to Disk" or "Suspend to RAM" anywhere in the power management when lap is running on AC. Is it a problem with my X?
