Hi,
Hey,
I'm still using KDE4 Workspace, but with plasma-oxygen for Qt5 apps
(mainly QtCreator).
I will try Plasma5 again soon, but in 5.0 font rendering was bad with
full hinting [0].
After updating plasma-oxygen from 5.0.2 to 5.1.0, with the same font size :
- menu bar and menu items now have a big vertical padding (looks
horrible IMHO)
- checkboxes are bigger
- buttons have a bigger vertical padding
- ...
I like the compact KDE4 style, here all I see is wasted space in comparison.
That's the new style called Breeze. Some like it, some don't (I do :-)).
I can't find anything in oxygen-settings5 to revert this, do you know if
there is an option somewhere ?
You can install plasma-oxygen package and enable it in System Settings ->
Application Style -> Widget Style, that provides the KDE 4 Oxygen style for
Plasma 5 (well, it's not exactly the same, some changes and polishing happened
there too, but it's still basically the same).
