I did not try anything 'oxygen', since I know from some years back that
oxygen seemed to cause lots of trouble.
Nope, getting rid of breeze didn't fix it. It seems the problem is
intermittent. After logout/login it's back.
Here's a screenshot - notice the missing network icon on the systray, and
the audio mixer icon is mangled.
