Perhaps you have it set not to show in the system tray?
In System Tray Settings -> General -> Extra Items -. Software Updates
I've never configured it in any way. When I first noticed it I didn't
even know what it was before clicking on it.
Anyway, I've now removed it. Thanks all the same.
