Multiple options: 1. Refresh packagekit after using dnf, run: pkcon refresh 2. Disable the applet, right click ^ in system tray => configure system tray => general => extra items => Uncheck "software updates" 3. uninstall plasma-pk-updates (and restart your plasma session)
