Konsole and F11
by Gian Piero Puccioni
Hi
I use some Fkeys redefined in vim (F1,F2,F5,F6,F10,F11) and they all worked before. Recently (I don't use them all the time) F11 (only) stopped working and instead it switches to "full size" konsole,.
I found it defined in the settings of Konsole (is this new?) and changed it to "None", now it doesn't maximize anymore but it just "dings" and is not passedto the program.
Is there something else to be done?
Thanks,
GiP

Vim copy to system clipboard not working
by phil@pricom.com.au
People,
I just switched to KDE from XFCE on F34 so I could start using Wayland but I find the problem in the Subject . . in Vim I used to be able to copy to the System Clipboard with:
"+5Y
to copy five lines eg - now that doesn't work - is this a KDE or Wayland or Plasma problem? - is there an easy fix?
Thanks,
Phil.

How to 'calibrate' my monitor for color and brightness?
by sbob
All;
I want to re-calibrate my screen / display. I'm running Fedora 34 - KDE spin
If I go to System Settings --> Color Corrections
then I see my devices, but I also see this message:
"You need Gnome Color Management installed in order to calibrate devices"
I have installed gnome-color-manager.x86_64 and rebooted but I still see
this message
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance

Dolphin issue since upgrade to fedora 34
by Emmett Culley
Before the upgrade, a single click on an item, file or directory, would open the file or switch to the directory. Now it requires a double click to do that. I can find no configuration option that controls this action.
Can someone tell me where to look to fix this? I would definitely like that old single click method back.

qemu auto-resize resolved
by Ed Greshko
From time to time, I've brought up the issue about Plasma VMs in qemu no longer auto-resizing as the
dimensions of the console window were changed.
I file BZ's on redhat bugzilla and think I may have done so upstream as well. There was never
any feeback or work seeming being done to address it.
Anyway, turns out it has more to do with Plasma (Xorg) no longer processing desktop files in
/etc/xdg/autostart.
I've closed https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1951173 with my local workaround.
Yet it would be nice if something could be incorporated in KDE releases.

systemd user unit for spice-vdagent in qemu guest
by Ed Greshko
Hi,
In order to have the clipboard work properly in a KDE qemu guest it is necessary to run spice-vdagent upon
login. I've been doing that via a crude method of placing "/usr/bin/spice-vdagent" in my .bashrc.
I would like to switch that over to a user unit.
So, I created a file ~/.config/systemd/user/spice-vdagent.service containing
[Unit]
Description=TestMe
After=plasma-core.target
[Service]
ExecStart=/usr/bin/spice-vdagent
[Install]
WantedBy=plasma-core.target
I enabled it, but it doesn't work. The status I get after login is...
○ spice-vdagent.service - TestMe
Loaded: loaded (/home/egreshko/.config/systemd/user/spice-vdagent.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)

How can I get a user unit to do what I want?
