I'm running Fedora 28 KDE spin on a thinkpad P52s, when I login the
network manager spins and spins waiting for authorization, then it fails
saying no secrets were provided, then it connects. I cannot do anything
else on the laptop until this completes. In previous installs the
kwallet manager would prompt me for the wallet password and then the
network would connect immediately. Is there a way to restore this behavior?
Thanks in advance
I just now updated my Fedora Workstation 28 installation after few days, which also has KDE Plasma Desktop installed alongside Gnome. I got my plasma updated to 5.13, and went ahead with enabling the new blur effect. I was able to enable it for menus, however, on Konsole, the edit profile page does not show a check box to enable blur in background.
I also have openSUSE Tumbleweed on another partition on the same machine and the checkbox is present there and works. Any body knows why is it so on Fedora? Is it intentional?
Glad to see update to 5.13, so thought I'd try plasma on wayland again.
Seemed to be working, except I can't get 'pager' widget. If I select this
widget, all I get is a blank square on the desktop. Trying to add to panel
doesn't display anything.
It actually did add the pager to the panel though, when I switched back to
plasma on X11 I had 3 pagers on the panel (2 I added under wayland that
The other thing I haven't worked out is, I use x2go for remote desktop. I
have capslock set as alternate control (as anyone old enough to have used
DEC terminals would want).
Under plasma/X11, when I connect to remote desktop (running mate) I have
capslock behaving as I programmed, but under plasma/wayland capslock is not
acting as addtional control.
I just installed Fedora KDE on a new Dell XPS-13. When I display
System Settings -> Workspace -> Shortcuts -> Global Shortcuts, there
is no option to set kwin keys!
How do I get this option back?
