Unable to change Wifi Security Settings

I don't know if this is a new problem since I've not had to do this recently. I tried changing the Wifi security on an existing connection from WPA/WPA2 Personal. The only choice that get the "Apply" select able is None. All other choices result in Apply remaining grayed out. Am I missing a component that needs installation? -- A motto of mine is: When in doubt, try it out

Qt Creator & qbs dependency problem

KDE slowly makes me sick https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1186198#c13 it took years that /etc/ssh/ssh_config containing "Ciphers aes128-gcm@openssh.com,aes256-gcm@openssh.com,aes128-ctr,aes256-ctr,aes256-cbc" worked without break KDE filemanagers with F26 that worked - now afetr upgrade to F27: Die Webseite unter error:/?error=163&errText=crypt_set_algorithms2%3A no crypto algorithm function found for aes128-gcm%40openssh.com#sftp://reindl@localhost:10022/ ist möglicherweise vorübergehend nicht verfügbar oder wurde dauerhaft an eine neue Webadresse verschoben. Changing the graphics

I wonder if this is the right place to ask for some help setting up mu new laptop. If not please ignore. I've just bought a new Lenovo Yoga 920. In general I'm happy with the machine and installed Fedora 27 right away, that is my favourite desktop. My problem is that the display has 3840 x 2160 Pixels (1016 x 571 mm) in resolution - information from the kinfocentre. Everything is extremely small, but I've found in the System Settings a possibility for scaling, which I did. So now i scale the display two times and can read the text. So all native KDE applications seems to run with this scaling. But the GTK application doesn't - making them unusable. I was wondering if it was possible to set-up the graphics card to work with a HD like setting (or half the current possible number of pixels) and still use the full display. If I set-up the display to HD size in the System Settings it only uses half the Display. Do you know if that would be possible to change the basic settings of the graphics card? If so, where should I look for configuration options? I have just built and installed a set of rpms for mythtv in fc26. The subject line appears during the installation, which completes and runs ok. Google finds parallels dating back to 2012, but this looks like a kde-specific typo to me. ?? [F27] KRFB Remote desktop does not work

Hi, The remote desktop sharing application Krfb does not work: It shows only the background image of the desktop and the menu bar of Plasma. The keyboard and mouse work perfectly but the screen is not updated when doing something. for example if I open a terminal, I do not see the terminal. On the client side, I tested with both tigervnc and krdc with the same issue. Regards, F

Wayland by default for Fedora 28

Hi, I would like to discuss and propose that we as KDE SIG move forward and attempt to use Wayland as default for our KDE Spin in Fedora 28. We will have to switch soon or later anyway. With Plasma 5.12 and Qt 5.9+ the situation with wayland should be way better and given that Plasma 5.12 is an LTS release, then we have high chance that bugs we find are fixed within this release cycle. If we find out that wayland is still more unusable than usable and issues cannot be easily solved, then switching back is easy. Fedora Workstation (Gnome) has switched long time ago, here [1] you can find their proposal and even they had tons of problems at the beginning, but given that people actually started using wayland (not just randomly testing it), then I think it really helped to speed up the whole development process as people were reporting issues for use cases which the devs couldn not think of or able to test. I'm willing of course to do all the paperwork around, propose a change, write wiki page, contingency plan and so on and also attempt to help with fixing wayland issues.
