Just upgraded to the latest version in updates-testing and the systray icon
for yubioath gui has disappeared. I verified that systray option is still
This worked fine until the latest upgrade. I just tested on two systems
and same result.
I'm not sure if this is a Samba client issue, or an issue in Dolphin, so
I'm posting to the KDE and General users lists. Is anyone else connecting
to a Windows share and not being able to write to it from Dolphin?
I've got a handful of Windows servers that I regularly download items to my
Fedora laptop and copy over via Dolphin. Up until the F24 upgrade that
is. Originally I thought it was just a bug that would be addressed shortly
after F24 was released. Now, though, I can still connect to the shares,
but I cannot copy/paste to them. None of them. Is there something simple
FYI, it's not a permissions issue as I can login to those shares from a
Win10 VM I have on my laptop and write to those same shares without
trouble. The Windows servers, other than being patched are the same
versions (ie no upgrades recently), so I'm at a loss as to the problem.

I just updated my Fedora 23 KDE spin and vmware will not build. I've
done the fix to the code :
# cd /usr/lib/vmware/modules/source
# tar xf vmmon.tar
# mv vmmon.tar vmmon.old.tar
# sed -r -i -e 's/get_user_pages(_remote)*/get_user_pages_remote/g' vmmon-only/linux/hostif.c
# tar cf vmmon.tar vmmon-only
# rm -r vmmon-only
# tar xf vmnet.tar
# mv vmnet.tar vmnet.old.tar
# sed -r -i -e 's/get_user_pages(_remote)*/get_user_pages_remote/g' vmnet-only/userif.c
# sed -i -e 's/dev->trans_start = jiffies/netif_trans_update\(dev\)/g' vmnet-only/netif.c
# tar cf vmnet.tar vmnet-only
# rm -r vmnet-only
andI copied the libraries as presented here:
but still no luck.
Thanks in advance for any advice
It's been a while since I've done this so I don't know if this is new
or not, but I used to be able to reorder items in the Favourites menu
by simply dragging them. This no longer works. They can be dragged, but
can't be dropped anywhere and just stay where they are.
Is this a bug or a (mis)feature?
Note that "Edit Applications..." doesn't show Favourites as editable.
Is it possible to edit the contacts KMail/Kontact bring up
when entering part of an email To address?
I get an extraordinary mishmash of choices,
frequently omitting the one I want
even if I have e-mailed the person in question several times that week.
I can't work out where Kontact gets the its addresses from.
Many are from emails years ago, while others I have never heard of.
Another annoying feature is that Kontact does not seem to have heard of
the address form "Real Name <email.address>",
and either mangles the given Real Name, or else ignores it altogether.
Needless to say, the Help button does not bring up a Kontact manual.
But that seems the norm for KDE software.

Installed kde-connect-1.0-1.fc24 and everything appears to work just fine. I am able to
run remote commands from the kde-connect app on my phone and tablet.
However, in "System Settings--->Hardware--->KDE Connect" I see under "Unavailable
plugins" an entry for "Execute remote commands".
Anyone else seeing this? Bug in System Settings?

Can anybody confirm that spell checking works for them in Fedora 24 in
apps such as kwrite? I can not get spell checking to work, even on the
First time I try Tools -> Spelling -> Spelling nothing happens. The

Spelling" with an OK button.
