.
not really nonsense, as there is a page at mozilla.org that has thunderbird
releases for various languages that can be installed in linux.
stating such was due to a combination of a "chemo brain" and having never
had to to change language via "pref.js", "user.js" or "about:config", with
"user.js" or "about:config" being safest and recommend.
as to:

i still contend that sequence that you posted is confusing and i am still
at a loss as to how changing langpack will change sequence and wording of
how to set default email client.

broken systray icons: kf5*-5.19.0-1.fc23
by Reindl Harald
after that upgrade from updates-testing any application started with
"ksystraycmd" lost it's icon, the space is preserved and even works to
bring the app into focus, but no icon :-(
at least with oxygen/air themes - no chance that i try to change that

Retrieving useful infos on running Plasmashell
by Germano Massullo
Today I have found out that plasma-desktop-5.5.1-1.fc23.x86_64 was using
1,9 GiB of RAM.
I would like to know if running
$ gdb
(gdb) attach "plasmashell's_pid"
can help to retrieve useful infos (for a bugreport) while the process is
running.
If you have any other suggestion, feel free to reply.
Thank you

html links from chrome and clipboard
by Ed Greshko
If I highlight a link in firefox, in the URL bar (for lack of a better term), the link
appears in the clipboard history and is accessible after other entries are made.
However, if I do the same with chrome I don't see the text but a sort of image. Later
clicking on the entry results in nothing appearing when pasting into an email or konsole
for example.
I can't see a way to configure this to work. Am I missing something?

In reality, some people should stick to running Windows and others should stay away from

Could not start ksmserver. Check your installation.
by Sudhir Khanger
Hi,
At least twice in past week my system logged me out abruptly with "Could not start ksmserver. Check your installation." I also lose any unsaved work I might be working on at the moment of forced logout. System would flicker frantically when I log into my system without rebooting on such occurrences. Any idea what might be happening.
journalctl -b -k output - https://paste.fedoraproject.org/320886/

Unknown program stops input
by Timothy Murphy
Recently I've found that some program is running
on my Fedora-23/KDE laptop and (presumably) taking 100$ of the CPU,
so that no keyboard or mouse input is possible.
I see that there is constant hard drive usage.
The "outage" only lasts 20 seconds or so,
so it is not a serious problem.
It usually happens just after logging in,
but occasionally it happens later.
Is there any way of seeing what the program is,
since obviously I cannot run anything like "top"?

Ok, after yesterday's update to Plasma 5.5.4-1 and recreating my wallet,
kwallet seems to work better.
However, it's a bit confusing that Fedora 22 has both
KWalletManager and KWalletManager4 installed (KDE Menu > System).
KWalletManager4 (in About) says "Version 2.0", using KDE Development
Platform 4.14.14.
KWalletManager (in About) says "Version 15.12.1", using KDE Frameworks
5.18.0, Qt 5.5.1 and the xcb windowing system.
Apparently kdedaemon uses KWalletManager4, not KWalletManager !!!
I can see this by opening a Network Place with fish:
- Now KWalletManager4 tells me that the wallet 'kdewallet' is currently
open
and has one password.
- OTOH, KWalletManager tells me that the wallet 'kdewallet' is currently
closed
So it must be that the 2 kwallet manager versions use different DBs
of the same name (and I guess different DB locations).
Can anybody shed some light on what's going on here?
Does anyone successfully use the newer KWalletManager?
Cheers,
- Fredy
