KDE 4.5: Lags in Konqueror
by Reindl Harald (Junk)
Hi
Since KDE 4.5 on F12 (kde-unstable, kde-testing9 i have real
bad lags in konquror after right-click on folders/files
Often it takes some seconds until the context-menu appears
Additional Info: I have disabled all strigi/nepomuk-options
as also acl/xattr on my ext4-filesystems because i find
them not useful for me
This and taht in "kcalc" the number 2 from keyboard is ignroed
are AFAIK the only problems with 4.5 for me

Dbus upgrade?
by moabi2000
Hi Rex,
Any idea on the likelihood of there being a dbus upgrade for F13 that
will fix Bug 208921?
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208921
I tried installing the dbus-1.4 from koji (F14 build), but that drags
in the whole of systemd...
Would try upgrading to F14 beta, but it seems somewhat iffy at the
moment and this is my main machine.
cheers
M.

KDE 4.5.2 - Disk free space info missing in Dolphin
by Sonic
Hello
I recently upgraded to KDE SC 4.5 from kde-testing. But now,
Dolphin doesn't show disk free space properly in the 'Places' side panel.
The slider is present (please see the attached screenshot), but no
information on it. The free space info is shown correctly on the status bar.
I have nvidia proprietary driver and compositing enabled.
Anybody else seeing this?
regards,
Syam

Can't open URLs like ssh://usuario@servidor
by Christian González
(Using Fedora 13 i386 + kde-testing + kde-unstable.)
With KDE SC 4.5.1, when I try to open an URL like this:
ssh://usuario@servidor
a Konsole appears and a ssh conection is established. Now I've updated
to 4.5.2 and this message appears:
Error - KIOExec
Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Error al cargar «ktelnetservice %u».
This is very uncomfortable since I use KeePassx to store all my
server's URLs (in ssh://usuario@servidor format) and passwords and now
I can't click to open :-(.
Is this a known bug? Is it related to
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=253294 ?

Problem opening URLs from kmail in Firefox
by Andreas Petzold
Hi,
since I've updated to kde 4.5.2 from kde-testing, whenever I click on an URL in
kmail, konqueror is first used to handle the URL and the result is passed to
firefox. Of course this usually doesn't work correctly.
I've set firefox as my default browser in kde system settings and everything was
working before the update. Is anyone seeing this?
Cheers,
Andreas

libdbus-1.4 for Fedora 13?
by Clemens Eisserer
Hi,
KDE-4.5 suffers a lot because of bugs in libdbus < 1.4.0,
however Fedora-13-testing still doesn't have it.
Any idea when libdbus-1.4 will be pussed to testing?
Thanks, Clemens

I still don't feel like there has been adequate discussion on where in
userspace this needs to be handled. So far all I've seen is what appears to
be a GNOME only solution. I'll CC the KDE list to at least get another
perspective in here.
