Yes, the NPE message suggests it includes JEP 358[i] which, in turn,
suggests a JDK 17 build was used in koji. If so, the NPE might be a
side-effect of a compatibility issue of truth with JDK 17 (for some
reason). You might be able to reproduce locally in mock when trying to
build with java-latest-openjdk (currently at JDK 17 level).
