Why not just disable Java plugin and restart/kill web browser?
I don't see any good reason to erase icedtea-web.
I think for the future it would be nice to implement some sort of
general "disable" switch to have from the icedtea-web control panel, but
yeah, there is no need to uninstall anything, just enable/disable the
plugin from the browser directly is the easiest way for the time being.
