istruzioni per la stazione usb

ciao, ecco la bozza definitiva delle istruzioni della usb station... --------------- Questo DVD è avviabile. Basta inserirlo nell'apposito lettore (assicurandosi che il computer sia impostato per utilizzare il DVD come dispositivo di avvio) e accendere il computer. Comparirà la classica schermata di login grafico. NON è richiesta la password per entrare. E' possibile scegliere fra KDE e Gnome, da un menu sulla barra nella parte bassa dello schermo (non molto visibile a prima vista). All'interno dell'istanza live è presente tutto il "necessaire" per creare chiavette USB. Sono presenti 4 ISO: • Fedora 9 i686 (GNOME) • Fedora 9 i686 (KDE) • Fedora 10 beta i686 (GNOME) • Fedora 10 beta i686 (KDE) Per creare le chiavette sono disponibili due programmi: • livecd-iso-to-disk: da terminale • liveusb-creator: GUI (Qt4) NOTE: • I due software vanno lanciati come utente root, usando il comando "su -" senza password • le iso si trovano in /mnt/live/ISOs • Per entrambi i software il processo di creazione della chiavetta non è distruttivo, questo vuol dire che se non c'è abbastanza spazio per procedere alla copia bisognerà provvedere manualmente. • Se la chiavetta è nuova e non contiene una partizione FAT32 bootabile, il processo non funziona. ciao, Per quanto riguarda i "fedora kit", stiamo iniziando le spedizioni. Andrea Rossi ha già mandato una mail ai lug con scadenza LUNEDI scorso per sollecitare l'invio degli indirizzi a cui spedire i pacchi. Ad oggi solo sono pervenute solo 3 risposte. Vi solleciterei per avere il prima possibile (entro domani) l'indirizzo a cui spedire. how to import in virt-manager

Carissimi buongiorno, sto cercando di importare macchine virtuali precedentemente create con qemu/kvm nel virt-manager (http://virt-manager.et.redhat.com/ ) . Non trovo documentazione al riguardo. I miei tentativi di copiare i file .xml di macchine già in dominio non hanno dato buoni risultati. Qualcuno ha già provato? C'e' un howto? Grazie, MEP

Release Event - Centro Italia

Ieri, parlando con Lorenzo del TULug, mi è stato comunicato il loro interesse ad ospitare il Release Party per il centro Italia a Vitorchiano, vicino Viterbo. Il mio appello è rivolto a tutti gli ambassador del Lazio per sapere se sarebbero disponibili ad una tale inziativa. Questa, sicuramente, si terrebbe dopo il primo dicembre. ciao a tutti, il nome vincente è stato "Fedora Kit", un po' generico ma comunque accattivante. Ho quasi terminato i preventivi: * scatola (40 x 28 x 23) -> 1.10 euro * poster -> 3 euro * DVD -> ~1 euro * stampa copertina DVD -> ?? * patafix (utile sia per i poster che per il poster della station, si attacca su tutto e non sporca) * plastiche DVD * USB cable -> 1.62 euro * poster (freedom, infinitive, voice) -> 9 euro * totale: ~15.75 Moltiplicato per 23 fa ~362 euro. Hi, I'm an ambassador for Italy and I'm organizing the fedora side for Linux Day in Italy (will be October 25th 2008). I want to use your logo to put it on box used to send to local Linux User Groups the "fedora kit" (the necessary to build a "fedora usb station") and generic gadgets (DVD and stickers). Are there any problems? can I use the global logo [1] and/or the "infinity bubble" [2]?
