When I have been working in the AWS console I noticed we have lots of volumes that are: not described, not owned and not attached. Sometimes even combination of all of these. And some of such volumes have been created in 2020.

Please check your volumes and add these tags:
* Owner:
* FedoraGroup
* Name
In a week I will write longer and detailed mail and everything that is not properly tagged (in a reasonable timeframe) will be proposed for deletion.

Sounds good. I think a number of those are in use, just not tagged correctly. ;(
I'll try and tag the ones I know.
Did you only look at us-east-1? There might be more in other regions? (although less I suspect).

Yeah, we have lots of volumes in Ohio. Yes, I am checking other regions.
FYI I started manually with the biggest volumes. And I pause between them. Because while the migration can be done live, I noticed that latency is increased during the migration.
