There was an interesting talk at OLS comparing Nagios, Zabbix, Zenoss,
and Hyperic - the upshot was that none of them is a clear frontrunner
(how's that for being helpful ?)
That covered a lot of the exact same things that I'd been thinking
(especially in terms of pros/cons etc).
Looking ahead 1.6 does seem to add a large number of the missing links,
and it's due out in September, so plenty of time for us to start getting
configs perfect etc :)
