Hi everyone, I'm Sheikh Limon. I've been participating in the Infra channels and meetings for a while, mostly observing to learn how things work. I'm currently a maintainer for Packager Dashboard and have also been contributing to Anitya and other Fedora apps and Infra projects. I hope I am doing this correctly, but let's get on with the introduction. I am Nik and some of you may know me already as a member of the Design and Join team. My matrix handle is @niknikovsky:fedora.im I don't have any real sysadmin skills/certifications/etc aside from small scale virtual machines (for classes). I *did* manage my own Proxmox server for a while, as well as a local Windows AD instance. I also do not have any prior expierience with Ansible, Podman, Quadlets, etc. but I do know a bit of Python and my way around a Linux system. I am currently studying for the INF.02 and/or INF.03 certifications which will probably teach me some of the skills needed here. I would love to start with some issues for newcomers, but with the proper guidance.

Fedora 45 Final Infra freeze now in effect!

Greetings. we are now in the infrastructure freeze leading up to the Fedora 45 Final release. This is a final release freeze. We do this to ensure that our infrastructure is stable and ready to release Fedora 45 when it's available. You can see a list of hosts that do not freeze by checking out the ansible repo and running the freezelist script: git clone https://infrastructure.fedoraproject.org/infra/ansible.git ansible/scripts/freezelist -i inventory Any hosts listed as freezes is frozen until 2026-10-20 (or later if release slips). Frozen hosts should have no changes made to them without a sign-off on the change from at least 2 sysadmin-main or rel-eng members, along with (in most cases) a patch of the exact change to be made to this list and/or a pull-request to the infra/ansible repo.
