There are plans in doing so, but we have not tried moving to mailman 3
at this time. Our plans to approach that are in the spring after
Fedora 18 is out the door.
> Do you use stock Mailman 2 rpm, if not, are the patchesets that you use available? Likewise, can your puppet module(s) for mailman (similar to [1]?) be made available, even with identifying information removed? Mozilla is in the process of auditing their puppet modules for an eventual public release, so I realize this can be a tricky topic with regards to security.
We use stock mailman with a bunch of hot-patches to remove the ability
for people to choose passwords. Due to the lack of encryption and the
fact that people reuse passwords too much we changed the templates for
where the password is chosen and just let mailman do the choosing for
us.
We really don't have much in the way of puppet and mailman. It
basically makes sure the package is installed and then hotfixes the
files over the templates. I will look to what we have and see if it
contains anything sensitive. It will probably later this week before I
can get it done and approved.

Fudcon infrastructure plans...
by Kevin Fenzi
I've created a wiki page to help us plan out what kind of talks and
hackfests and such we want to try and do at fucon in january.
Additionally, we can use this for planning things we want to get done
next year. I added our old stuff from the 2011/2012 page that we have
not yet done.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_infrastructure_tasks_2013
Please do add anything you personally would like to get done, and we
can discuss in this thread further. It would be good if we could
narrow things down and make sure we try and get the things done that we
intend to.

break freeze request: increase MM crawler timeout
by Matt Domsch
The mirrormanager crawler has a 60 minute timeout - if it can't crawl
the mirror in 60 minutes, it assumes it's running slow enough not to
be able to serve traffic reasonably, and marks it as not up-to-date,
dropping it from the mirror lists.
With the new alphabetical Packages/[0-9a-z]/*.rpm directory structure,
the crawler now as an additional ~36 directories to search in each of
24 (currently) directory trees, at 10 RPMs each being searched, at ~6
RPMs/second being checked, is another 24 minutes more than was
previously needed. This is pushing mirrors that were previously
completing in just over 30 minutes, over the timeout.
I'd like to increase the timeout from 60 to 90 minutes. I would like
to change the number of RPMs being looked at in each directory from 10
to 3 (it's the most recent 10 vs most recent 3; if you have the most
recent 3, you will have the next most recent 7 I would think...)
Thanks,
Matt

openid new test patch
by Toshio Kuratomi
I've added a new test hotfix for openid to
admin.stg.fedoraproject.org/accounts/ If anyone can figure out how to test
it that would be great. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to figure out
a way yet because the SSL cert for those servers doesn't match....
We'll need to test:
* When you login using your openid url, it works
* When you login using someone else's openid url, you get your id rather
than the one you requested
* When you login using yadis auto-discovery, it works
* That all of these instances get logged to sysclog on the fas01.stg server
