Sounds good. Do you have any ideas? There's still a month to go and
should be sufficient to organize some on-line sessions: irc workshops,
vfads, etc.
We should also involve people from outside the geek community.
1. A website/ few pages for the event. (the Mozilla community may help).
2. Plenty of publicity needed in various channels.
3. Have sprints/or just ask for contributions to be showcased etc.
4. Tools:
5. Show we restrict to digital art without multimedia?
6. Theme: Should be relevant from a cultural point of view:
As most of Indian culture is decadent, it is important to support
development of progressive ideas.
E.g.
A. knowledge commons related: focus can be on many oppressed areas.
B. Rational Thinking
C. Human rights (with focus on women and LGBT rights).
(select one or more)
Tutorials, sprints can be scheduled around the day.
(GIMP, Synfig Studio, Inkscape, Convert, Licenses and Licensing,
Mayavi, Pencil, ... )
Best
