That is precisely what I didn't want to tell the OP, if
configuring
the router (having a built-in webserver) is what the user wanted.
One can connect through ethernet port, open a browser on the host
system, login as admin in the router, and configure the settings. The
router manual should have these instructions.
The problem is that most high end routers and switches (Cisco made
etc) do not always have a web interface available (I doubt any of them
do). While it is true that most SOHO routers do have that option, I
had assumed that the OP meant an "enterprise class" router/switch.
