In addition to what Dominic said -

I also attended conf.kde.in and it was very good to see lot of FOSS enthusiasm among Amrita college students and teachers. I haven't seen any college so far where teachers shows so much interest in FOSS activities. I too got a chance to talk to few teachers and they said around 10 students have already registered for attending FudCon. I talked personally to few students to attend FudCon so that they can explore more opportunity in FOSS. Few students also asked what Fedora is and what it does, it was great to tell them about Fedora. I had loads of Fedora stickers which I got from Red Hat, Pune Fedora folks, distributed them among attendees. We also shared few printed FudCon 2015 posters to Amrita college teacher, having it displayed in college will help in reaching FudCon news to more students.

I have written a personal blog post on my experience with conf.kde.in 2015 http://sinny.io/2015/04/23/another-amazing-conf-kde-in/

Thanks

It was a great opportunity to visit Amrita University (AU),Kollam and AU FOSS coordinator Mr.Vipin. Joerg, thanks for sharing AU FOSS club details. Though we didn't conduct any formal FOSS meeting during this visit, I got a chance to talk with students. Some expressed their interest in open source, few are already in touch with devel community of respective project they are interested in.

I have handed over the stickers, FUDCon posters ( Thanks to FUDCon team, Pune for the support ) and F21 Workstation DVD ( Rejy, thanks ) to Vipin for giveaway. He was so kind to arrange the DVD distribution during tea break and informed that there are students attending FUDCon Pune-2015.

Post lunch I got an installation request from a student who is new to Fedora/Linux. Vipin agreed to host Fedora22 release party in AU,Kollam once the exams are over in May2015. I will be in touch with Vipin for further followup.

There is kde.conf happening in Amrita University (17-18 Apr) [0], If
someone going to Kerala this timeframe can showcase fedora KDE spin
and also have discussion about creating a community because most of
FOSS enthusiastic speaker/attendee should be there and I think we can
use this opportunity.
