FAD Pune 2010 - Book your flight tickets
by Rahul Sundaram
Hi,
If you are planning to attend FAD Pune 2010 and need to travel, it is
high time you actually booked your tickets and submitted the rates in
the trac ticket that was used to request sponsorship. Do it asap and
update the ticket. If you delay it too much, the tickets will cost
more than your submitted estimate and we will not be able to sponsor you
anymore.
Thanks for your prompt attention.

Pino triaging help
by Rahul Sundaram
Hi
Pino, the default microblogging client in Fedora 13 is getting a number
of bug reports, mostly crashes from Abrt (automatic bug reporting tool).
http://bugz.fedoraproject.org/pino
If you are interested, I would welcome some help with triaging it or
co-maintaining it. You need a Red Hat bugzilla account and Google id.
This entire task would take up to an hour or so for the open bugs
against Pino.
1) If the users have filed it against a older version, request them to
update to the latest version and verify
2) Abrt should have automatically collected the needed info and file a
backtrace/stack trace. If not ask the end user to file it manually
following the steps outlined at
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/StackTraces
Mark the bug as NEEDINFO status. If the user does not respond within two
weeks or so, close it with a comment
3) If it already has a stack trace, figure out if it is a duplicate by
reading the stack trace and comparing it with others. Mark it as
duplicate against the oldest ticket when appropriate.
4) Once you have gone through and set needinfo and closed duplicate
bugs, you will have to go through the upstream tracker at
http://code.google.com/p/pino-twitter/issues/list
5) Report all valid bugs with the stack trace upstream

social networking integration
by Rahul Sundaram
Hi
Just throwing this idea out in case someone is interested in it. I see
facebook integration on the roadmap of Pino at
http://pino-app.appspot.com/ using the librest API (
http://moblin.org/projects/librest). If use Pino as a central library
for social networking integration, we could do nifty things like chat
with facebook/orkut friends via Empathy and add support for browsing
your Facebook friends albums in Shotwell and so on. I would prefer to
not use the web interfaces at all.
