I am Dharmit Shah from Ahmedabad and I've just joined the list. I am using
fedora since a year and a half. I had tried OpenSUSE before fedora, but
fedora finally brought me to the world of Linux. I am willing to do RHCE
after my graduation studies get over in June this year. I guess that's
enough for an intro. :)
There we go
We regret to inform you that, we are cancelling mukt.in 2010 scheduled
for 23-24 April 2010. We have to take this extreme step due to revived
Gujjar agitation in Rajasthan. Currently the city of Jaipur is under
section 144 and conducting any public gathering requires permissions
from police etc. After consulting our local organizers we have decided
not to go ahead with the event right now. Please see that
this cancellation has nothing to do with the previous venue issue. That
was sorted out and we had full credit from our venue sponsor. In case
you have booked your travel tickets, we request you to cancel them and
send us a proof of cancellation along with the cancellation charges. We
will refund your cancellation charges in next 45 days. If you have
booked tickets from a low cost carrier who, credits the amount instead
of refund and you are not planning to use the amount in near future,
please write back to us. We will try to find the best way possible to
refund your travel.
We will inform you as soon as we decide on the new dates and location
of the event.
Mukt.in 2010 team
I am sure you all love Matrix the movie and the ever popular green
characters floating on the screen. This program presents that visual
effect on your command line. A bit old and rusty code. Requires
perhaps some knowledge of C to fix any compilation issues. Anyone
interested in packaging this one?
You needn't really need high amount of skills to help out. A low
priority but simple fix is this one.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=559533. All you need to
fix it is a screenshot in the Fedora theme and you are done. Who wants
to fix it?
If anyone wants to package it, it should be fairly simple and Fedora QA
team wants to use it to test the development branch before the release
to make sure our graphics drivers are all working properly.
